Sun Forest
A cloud-print on stone. A shape of blue, burning through. Motion, in a leaf. I can say goodbye to the weight that bows me down. The tree becomes still as the forest tilts and turns, and a line of gold burns along your horizon. This was the original poem. Setting it in 10pt lead type created some challenges. You need a magnifying glass to see the letters and I had to make the lines longer due to a lack of spacers. Then I ran out of sorts and had to nick some bold type from another set. The ‘d’ in the last ‘and’ was too low and I had to raise it with a nip of tissue paper and I managed to muddle a p with a q in ‘shape’.
